Letters From Heaven - by Tammi Croteau- Inspired by Kayleigh Williamson
Letters from Heaven is the story of Kayleigh Williamson, the first woman with Down syndrome to complete the Austin Marathon, and the inspiration that keeps her going mile after mile. Kayleigh has found her strength and motivation in the love of friends and family, and she believes that you can, too!
Never one to be limited by a diagnosis, Kayleigh sets and achieves her goals with hard work and determination (and a little extra encouragement from her grandma!). Their special bond gets Kayleigh across the finish line every time, no matter how many hills she has to climb to get there. Her story will encourage you to overcome any obstacle in the path to your dreams as well!
Kayleigh is one of the select few of Runner 321, an Adidas program to ensure representation of neurodivergent athletes in mainstream sports. 321 is a number representing trisomy 21 in the Down syndrome community. Kayleigh also represents the Kyle Pease Foundation.
A special thanks to Daymark Living, Down Home Ranch and Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas for helping to make the book possible. Also to author Tammi Croteau and artist Jeffery Sweet for your excellence in creating Kayleigh's book.
